*THE DJ*
Taking his name by predicting the finish of horse races in 'exacta' bets,
the rising star started out as a hip-hop DJ from Queens, gracing the
turntables for celebrities such as *Mariah Carey*, *Heidi Klum* and *P Diddy
*. It wasn't long before *Exacta* went from hip-hop to house, quickly
gaining notoriety and emerging as one of the most talked about house DJs,
playing alongside the likes of *Erick Morillo*, *Pete Tong*, *Tiesto*, *Paul
Oakenfold*, and *Armand Van Helden*. His success has taken him all over the
world, spinning everywhere from his *Pacha*(NYC) Residency to *Godskitchen*(UK)
to *Space*(Miami), *Bon Bon* (Shanghai), and *Fly* (Toronto), showcasing a
sublime selection of upfront house that spans everything from deep to tribal
to tech cuts in breathtaking and daring sets. House music fans worldwide can
now tune in to *Exacta's* weekly feature *'New York Minute'* on *

*THE PRODUCER*
*Exacta's* production career was fortunate enough to begin by working with
world-renowned producer *DJ Premier* at *D&D Recording Studios*. But it was
in learning the business of house music, working for *Pete Tong's FFRR
Records* that *Exacta* really began to explode. Within weeks, *Exacta* was
signed as an artist to one of the most renowned record labels on the house
scene, *Subliminal Records*, and his first three original productions, *'The
Beat Inside You'*, *'Flippin'* and *'Shake My Soul'* became instant hits for
the label, and irresistible to anyone who loves to dance.
When in the summer of 2006, *Roger Sanchez* broke *Exacta's* vocal remake of
the classic *'Pride (A Deeper Love)'* in his Essential Mix, an overnight
club killer was born and it became apparent that *Exacta* was officially a
rising talent in the industry. This became clearer with the releases of *'Set
Me Free'* and *'You Keep Calling Me'*, tracks that set dancefloors alight
and topped charts the world over. *Radio 1's Trophy Twins* quickly labeled
Exacta as *"a producer to watch"* on their show *'The Residency'* - an
opinion clearly magnanimous throughout the music industry, with him being
sought out for his remix work by superstars such as *Nelly Furtado* and *
Madonna*. His two latest offerings: *'Stuck On Your Love'* and *"Lost In
Music"* have both been hailed as breakout tracks of the summer, receiving
rave reviews and lending buzz to *Exacta's* next project, *'Soul Survivor'*,
his first solo album to be released in the fall.
*THE LABEL-HEAD*
In 2006, maintaining his alliance with Subliminal, *Exacta* decided to
launch his own imprint label, *Compulsive Music*, that was to be home to his
own special brand of dark and dirty, New York dance music. Compulsive
Music's title reflected the compulsive lifestyle of NYC and its nightlife
scene. Within one short year however, the label launched one international
smash hit after another, drawing in an astounding array of international DJ
talent, and "Compulsive" no longer seemed to fit...
Hence, in August 2007, *Exacta* will launch his new label, and global brand,
*'Double Frequency Records'*. Despite its tender age, the label has already
caused quite a stir, hosting releases from an international cast of some of
the world's most popular and prolific dance music producers, including *
Funkagenda* (UK), *Patric La Funk* (Germany), *DJ Dove* (NYC), *Noir*, *Granite
& Phunk* (Miami), *Belocca & Sonnec* (Hungary), and *Pirupa & LoGrasso*(Italy).
With his *Pacha residency* and his first solo album, *'Soul Survivor'* on
it's way coupled with Morillo's predilection for picking the winners, expect
*Exacta* and *Double Frequency Records* to be riding high this year, taking
over every territory in their path.
